TOUR DESCRIPTION
Uganda has a lot to offer from the dramatic Murchison falls in Paraa to Africa’s most ancient rain-forests in southwestern Uganda. This trip takes you to various destinations with a lot of interesting activities. The first one being Rhino trekking at Ziwa Sanctuary at the Luwero Triangle. After that you continue to Murchison falls for a Game viewing experience in the park and a boat trip along the Nile. You will also get to hike to the top of the falls giving you an amazing view of the falls.
This trip also takes you to Queen Elizabeth national park believed to be a medley of wonders. You will find explosion craters, gorges, Lake George, kasenyi plains, mweya peninsula etc. Game drives in the park will get you to see a number of animals and the rest are probably seen on the launch trip at the Kazinga Channel. In the southern part of this park – Ishasha, you will find the legendary tree climbing lions, one of Africa’s most famous attractions.
The highlight of this trip is the gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi, which starts early morning and takes up to 2 to 7 hours in the forests. This amazing activity has been rated highly by most tourists coming to Uganda. You will also have a cultural tour to the villages surrounding the forests.

TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Drive to Murchison falls national park
Your tourist guide/ driver will pick you up from Kampala and begin a panoramic drive north-west passing through the famous Luwero Triangle. Stopping by the Ziwa Rhino & wildlife sanctuary to see rhinos, and how they are being reintroduced back into the wild. Later stop-over in masindi town for an African delicacy lunch. After proceed to the park, passing by the top of falls, a perfect spot to view the Nile’s beauty being perfected. The water squeezes through a 7 meters canyon dropping 50 meters with a thunderous roar with a beautiful rainbows. Later check into your accommodation as you enjoy the sunset.

Day 2: Game viewing in Murchison falls national park
Today you will start with an early morning game drive, on the northern bank of the River Nile. Your tour guide will help you spot some of the animals like the Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. In the Afternoon, head for a Launch trip upstream on the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. En- route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 19 km stretch you will see many animals including elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This riverine zone is also home for many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, Brown pelican, Red-throated bee-eater, various kingfishers, Fish eagles, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. After taking shots of photogenic Murchison Falls, return to your accommodation.

Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive to Uganda’s most popular destination, via Hoima to Fort Portal passing through a verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms. The town of Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon – the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 4: Tour Queen Elizabeth national Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park has a number of incredible attractions including grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters. An early morning game drive in this park, with the massive Rwenzori as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. In the afternoon enjoy the unique 2 hour boat cruise on the 40km Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 600 resident species.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi forest
Drive through the “Switzerland of Africa” area known as the Kigezi Highlands, with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi forest park
Today we enter the gorilla sanctuary with a spectacular rain-forest with a dramatic steepy landscape. You will be in a group of 8 people maximum, led by a tour guide who will help in tracking the gentle giants. It can take about 2 to 7 hours to track the gorillas depending on how far they have moved. Each group will be allowed 1 hour to observe the gorillas, such a rare awesome and exciting adventure. The gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact.

Day 7: Bwindi to Kampala
After breakfast, we drive back to Kampala with a stop-over at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. There will also be time to stop at the equator line where you can do your souvenir shopping and photographs. You arrive in Kampala in the early evening.
