TOUR DESCRIPTION & ITINERARY
This tour takes you to Bwindi forest for Gorilla trekking and Chimp tracking at Kalinzu Forest Reserve plus paying a visit to some local community projects either in Buhoma, Ruhija or Rushaga depending on the permits available. After which we drive back to Kampala with a stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe.
Day 1:Welcome to Uganda
Our company driver/guide will be on standby at Entebbe Airport to pick you up from your flight. He will bring you to your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe.

Day 2:Transfer to Kabale-Kisoro
Start on your journey to Kabale – Kisoro in the south-western part of Uganda bordering Rwanda and Congo. You drive through the beautiful part of the country often referred to as the Switzerland of Africa. Check out the great country-side, bamboo forest and have great views over the Virunga Mountains. Make a lunch stop at a Hotel en-route to Bwindi.

Day 3:Gorilla Tracking
Prepare yourself for an encounter the rare and endangered Mountain Gorillas, Bwindi’s gentle giants. For most visitors this is the absolute highlight of their tour in Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts both Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees – the only forest in Africa which can make this claim in fact. It also is also a home five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 birds.
In the company of an experienced ranger you will track Gorillas belonging to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. Your tracking experience will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, thick vegetation and bamboo forest before you eventually reach the Gorillas’ habitat. En-route, your guide/ranger will point out signs of previous Gorilla activity, including dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots. The time taken to track the Gorillas can take as little as 2 hours to as much as 7 hours depending on location of the gorilla family on any given day.
Once you spot the Gorillas, you have a maximum of one hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a Mountain Gorilla is a truly one of a kind and emotional experience. This is a memorable and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own Gorillas in the Mist?. After tracking you drive to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park a drive that offers as you an opportunity see some wild life like tree climbing Lions.

Day 4:Chimpanzee Tracking
After breakfast, head out for Chimpanzee tracking at Kalinzu Forest reserve and there after embark on your drive back to Kampala or Entebbe (Airport). Make at stop at the Uganda Equator, the best place to make your souvenir shopping. Your driver/guide will bring you to your accommodation in Kampala/Entebbe or to Entebbe Airport (this is only possible if your flight leaves at mid-night or later). Accommodation for tonight is not inclusive in the program. In case you wish us to include one (or more) nights in Kampala and/or Entebbe, please let us know.
